Jib Crane
Jibs are secondary arms that extend off of the end of a boom. They allow the crane to have extra reach, but they often reduce the amount of weight that a crane can hoist. Jibs often use a lattice design in order to reduce the amount of weight that they add to a load. The jib is the sail at the front of the boat. It provides a number of benefits, but unfortunately, it can be somewhat complicated when first starting out.
The jib increases a sailboat’s speed simply by adding a significant amount of sail area which catches a lot more wind. The hydraulic mechanism can be powered by a battery or be a hand pump type depending on the design of the crane.
